Okay, you are able to travel the entire duration of the trip with several small stops on the way with no encounters. You travel across 2200 miles for 69 days until you get to Parth Seregon and the first thing you notice is that it is a coastal town, and some of the elves have a blueish-green tint to their skin, some barely noticeable, others much more so. As you arrive, the guards come out to greet you.

We trust that you have had no contacts with the humans to the east, and what might your business here in Parth Seregon be?"

indeed i do not have contacts with the humans says einkor he then continues to explain for who and for where he is looking

The guard welcomes you in and says, "Parth Seregon is the home of the Naurthala clan of elves. We are in charge of much of the northeastern coastline of Ovanis. Indeed you have found us. What can we do for you?

Einkor did not get much information on the clan unfortunately. His only command was to call upon the Naurthala clan and renew the friendship between the Naurthala and the Ghroen.

As Einkor says the name Ghroen, he finds himself suddenly siezed by the guards. "What do you know about the Ghroen dwarves? Not a one of them shall live should they come within a hundred miles of Parth Seregon!"

hey i mean you no harm, i dont want to cause any trouble here! einkor is being submisive but not completely passive what is the problem? what did the Ghroen do?

im assuming that einkor isn't already privy to this information by simply being a part of the Ghroen clan?

You unfortunately know nothing about this. I couldn't make it that easy, lol.

The guard speaks up. "The weak Ghroen could not handle combat with the might Naurthala elves, and such caused the massacre of over half our village! It is because of that we Naurthala have been reduced to a minority on Ovanis. It would be a miraculous feat for a Ghroen to regain his clan's honor again." He looks at Einkor, peering into his eyes. "What did you say your clan name was again?"

einkor looks right into the elves eyes with conviction and pride "i am Einkor son of Milfelek, the stonelord from the Groen clan, it is funny that you mention my clan's honor because if you say it is tarnished then i am here to prove the opposite. now if you would take me to whom i can prove our worth, we can fix all of this"
i cant remember if we have established a name for einkor's father but i gave him one just in case haha

We did actually. Your father's name is Milfelek, meaning "experienced hewing rock". I'm editing your post. I'll add the rest tonight.

With your admission to being a Ghroen, you are immediately transported to the nearest jail. "You can sit there till we figure out what to do with you, scum!" exclaims one of the guards.

The next day arrives and passes without any word.

A second day passes without a word...

A third day passes without a word.

On the fourth day, early. Einkor is awakened by the guards who finally open the gate for him. He is bound by ropes and is brought before the king. "Make your case, worthless one!" commands the head guard.

einkor asks what are the charges against me and my clan??

The king replies indignantly, "250 years ago your clan backed out during the battle of Belthalah, and due to their cowardice, over half of our clan was wiped out. Cowardice runs from blood to blood, and if there is no way to avenge your clan's name, then you can begin by dying in our prisons, and maybe we will forgive but a small fraction of your debt."

The king says to you, "We have but one nuisance here, and if your entire clan could not fight but a few dwarves, you have no chance at this. Alas, your death is inevitable either way. A days journey east leads you to it. It is unmistakable. If by some fate of the gods you survive, your clan is admonished.

With that the shackles on Einkor's hands and feet are taken off, and Einkor is released.

this is more for my edification but would Einkor know why his clan backed out of the fight those 250 years ago??
einkor seems to take the verbal shots at his clan personally (along with the jibes the king said towards einkor), he is a bit angry and upset, but very eager to clear his clan's name of any transgression.
einkor says "i am but 100 years old, but i know our clan is a different one than you knew, we are not one of cowardice and weakness, but of strength and honor, i will return victorious, for yours and my clan" letting his frustration and lack of elequent speech show "now tell me what i have to kill"

after they tell him (or dont tell him lol) einkor grabs his gear, gets on his horse and heads east

You actually know nothing about this recently learned history. For whatever reason may be, your father has chosen not to speak about it until the quest. Perception is also a possible factor here as well. This would be a great story. Dwarves are a very proud people, and it is possible that so few know the real truth that he wouldn't dare expose it to the entire clan, for pride's sake or for the threat of another war. Ignorance is bliss they say...

Einkor mounts his horse, and rides east a day, and comes upon a large copse of trees with a huge hill entrance. Bones lay over the front of the entrance. This must be the place. As you get closer you realize there is a familiar-esque acidic smell here.

Give me an Intelligence roll as well as your first course of action.

einkor is going to get off his horse and put it to the side (of the trail or whatever so its not in the middle of this joint lol) he gets both of his axes out and i would like to make a spot check to see the area and anything important about it. the first roll is the intellegence thing and the second is the spot (spot +2)
