Liveric Parts Ways

After a cordial farewell, Liveric sets off to find the gnomes here in Ghroen City. finding them with just a few turns of asking directions. They are located in the western part of Ghroen, almost the very back of the cavern.

Liveric approaches the gnome who appears in charge. Hello, I am Liveric of Durham, I'm a drifter of these lands in search of work. I have done work for Mr. Ghroen, I'm sure upon asking he will praise my abilities. I am very curious of the tools and contraptions you use. I can provide security for your party or labor. At worst through magic I can light this cavern to assist your workers. A many thanks for your thoughts and time.

The foreman, a gnome of a more wide stature looks Liveric up and down. "We always have need of a good strong mind and a fresh back. You might look at what not only us, but the dwarves are working on here, and see if you can help either of us."

As you look around you see a set of dwarves hunched over, pounding at long, thin stone slabs, making intricate designs and adding some script to some of the doorways. You also notice that many of the dwarves are working on a better portcullis for the cave entrance. Some are working on some alchemical processes on what looks to be a grease trap. And still some are working on general improvements to housing and personal, mundane items.

Seeing trap work intrigues Liveric. He heads over to the workers on the grease trap to see if they need hand. I would like to look around and see if their is any additional traps and or security that I can provide or make. SPOT +3(do I get any extra due to trap knowledge.)

Hehe, excellent. Yes it does help. You see several devices in the trap that require a physical hand to work. You think you can make them automated with a few gears and a few extra parts.

Liveric goes to work, adding a mounting bracket, a plethora of gears, and mounts a pressure plate just before the actual trap (with a safety for normal everyday use). He also uses the city's heat steam pipes, mounts a bladder, and creates a pressurized trigger. This process takes approximately a week. After a week the trap works Liveric looks around to see if there's anything else he can do. Give me a search check +2

I would like to study my "Nystul`s Magic Aura". In the coming days I want to build a trap with a fake item. example- Make a handle "glow" enticing someone to pull it, maybe a stone in the wall.

Currently Liveric is unable to get past the duration requirement of such a trap (but keep trying). He goes to a small magic shop, asking for directions to the closest magic guild. The dwarvish female (you think) with a rather large beard tells Liveric that it is located south of Ghroen Village a days journey.

Liveric gathers up his belonging, tells Mr. Ghoren of his traveling and thoughts, and heads off south. Liveric, (terrain allowing) traveling as a rogue, moves off road 10-15ft. I wish to walk parallel to the road. I don't wish any attention but want to watch and listen to others. This I imagine will add a day on my journey.

It takes you two days to reach Thirak Khazad, Staff of the Dwarves, a monastic wizard's guild located south of Ghroen Village, but not before having to walk one time along the road. In that short amount of time you came across a carriage that was freaked out by your odd, quiet movements. They were headed toward Ghroen Village.
